CONSENT TO MAINTENANCE AND PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA

Julia & Rana Solicitors will maintain and process your personal data for the purposes of effectively carrying out work on your case.

We will store data such as your name, date of birth and nationality together with, if applicable, copy of your passport or ID card. Our firm will also store any information and documentation provided by you in support of your legal claim or application.

Any information will be processed when making submissions, applications or litigating, negotiating and communicating with public authorities, courts and legal representatives; or undertaking other legal actions on your behalf. Your data may be shared with the said authorities whenever necessary.

We will use your data solely for acts absolutely necessary for carrying out your case effectively and successfully, within limits of our instructions and legal obligations towards you as our client.  Your data will not be shared with any unauthorised third parties and will not be used for marketing purposes without seeking further consent.

Julia & Rana Solicitors stores client data digitally and in physical case files. Both of these are secured appropriately and in accordance with our firm’s security policies. We confirm that the data is saved on the servers based within EU.

Any data found to be redundant for our aim of effectively discharging our legal obligations towards our clients, will be securely disposed of. We must inform you that we have keep your case records for 6 years from the date we conclude your matter. You have a right to request that our records of your personal data be amended or completed. Should you wish to make such request, please contact us immediately and we shall oblige unless barred by SRA rules. You have a right to request a copy of your personal data our firm holds. We aim to comply with all requests within 30 days.

You have a right to withdraw your consent at any time during the period of our instructions. You may also limit the extent of consent already provided.
